Lodet

Built in 1923 as a dairy and used as such for part of the 20th century. Later, the property was converted into a workshop and a restaurant, and today, it is a mixed-use complex of dwellings, a gallery, an office and a shop.

The property consists of a detached Art Nouveau-inspired red brick building, where the dairy shop and office were located, and two lower red-brick buildings used for dairy production.

In town, the property stands out. It is possible to complete the neighbourhood by extending or altering the low courtyard buildings, which have been significantly modified over the years and have maintained little of their original appearance.

The intention is to preserve the property’s current content and structure. To develop the type of urban space and activity that have always existed here and which have defined this setting. Red bricks should continue to dominate. The detached building should remain detached. The open courtyard will provide the basis of a lively local space with commercial spaces and shops. The upper floors will be residential.
